Job Path is seeking an organized, outgoing Staff and Community Developer in its Community Connections department to assist scheduling, organizing, and creating daytime habilitation programming for Job Path’s existing groups. In addition, the Staff and Community Developer will be charged with developing new groups that will be held during weekend hours. This position is a step-up opportunity for a Direct Support Professional—the Staff and Community Developer will continue to provide direct support according to a schedule agreed upon with their supervisor.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following tasks:
- Create, maintain, and facilitate programming for Job Path’s groups, this includes tracking attendance.
- Assess areas of interest among people who receive support from Job Path and organize regular ongoing gatherings based on those interests
- Submit or delegate case notes for people attending groups who do not have support
- Collect case notes from DSPs who are supporting participants in groups
- Provide clear information to coordinators and DSPs regarding group meeting times and locations
- Arrange and complete support and training in the community for new and ongoing staff and based on program needs
- Connect and complete outreach for community partnership and spaces to host groups, events, and volunteer opportunities for individuals in the community connections department
- Focus on DSP recruitment for Community Connections - which includes screening, interviews, and reference checks
- Coordinate schedules by tracking shift needs and being a central point of communication between program coordinators and new staff in order to effectively fulfill support needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area of education or human services, or
- High school diploma (or equivalent) and minimum of 1 year of work experience serving people with developmental disabilities in a community-based setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
