Job Path is looking for a Fiscal Assistant to work in its expanding Self- Direction Department. Job Path’s Self-Direction Department supports individuals and their families as they manage their own budgets to follow their interests and achieve their goals at home and in their communities. The Fiscal Assistant will work under the supervision of Job Path’s Manager of Self-Directed Services and Staff Accountant.  An ideal applicant will be able to adhere to deadlines, possesses strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Process biweekly payroll for support workers providing self-hired services verifying through comparison with  call in log and casenotes.
  • Review casenotes and follow-up on any missing entries or documents in preparation for billing.
  • Process reimbursements submitted under self-direction budgets in compliance with  OPWDD regulations and budget restrictions.
  • Assist supervisors in reviewing compliance requirements and maintaining compliance tracking sheets..
  • Maintain files of electronic and paper documents.
  • Review petty cash reconciliation requests and allocate them to the correct budget fund if necessary.
  • Work with the Manager of Self-Directed Services to ensure that all budgets are up to date and that reimbursement requests do not exceed the participants budget.
  • Preparing the monthly expenditure reports for participants receiving fiscal intermediary services from Job Path
  • Preparing and completing spreadsheets with self-directed costs and reimbursements used by billing staff.
  • Assist in miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Prior experience a plus, but not essential. Candidates should have strong organizational skills, writing skills, maturity, and attention to detail.  Preference will be given to people who have experience with and competency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel, G Suite, and use of software applications.

Compensation: $18 per hour, 17.5 hour a week position, non-exempt

Health, dental, and enhanced short term disability insurance available to employees who average 28 hours of work per week after a six month measurement period.

Schedule: To be discussed but will be hours between 9-5 on weekdays.
